1. Most red wigglers come from North Carolina.

2. They hate light (they could shrivel up and die).

3. They have five hearts.

4. One side is female and the other is male.

5. One worm egg can hold 4-6 baby worms.

6. Breath threw skin. (Keep damp)

7. No eyes.

8. If they get to little food or to much food they will die.

9. One worm can produce up to 3 worm eggs.

10. Red wigglers can’t go dormant like other worms in winter. Instead they put their eggs in a warm place, so next year the worms will hatch. 

11. If a worm loses a body part it just grows back.

12. They can consume their own body weight in food every day.

13.  With out worms some animals would die.

14. Red wigglers make your soil much richer after about three months of composting. (Much better for growing plants in)

15. It takes only 6 weeks to grow from hatchling to a reproducing adult.
