In conclusion, the chart showed that the cell phone is distracting when a person is driving. On the video game those playing were more distracted and not able to concentrate on the game when they were using the phone at the same time. When they didn’t use the cell phone they were able to do a lot better in the game. Any act that results in a person taking their eyes off the road is dangerous. When you text-message or dial the cell phone or try to change a CD in the car you are distracted from the road conditions. All the volunteers in the experiment scored lower while using the cell phone. There is only one province in Canada that has banned the use of hand held cell phones. In April 1st 2003, Newfoundland and Labrador passed a law to ban the use of hand-held cell phones. Many provinces are considering to do the same kind of ban. However at present there is no law to stop the use of driving with a cell phone in Ontario.
