Have you ever heard of a simple machine? Simple machines are strong yet simple devices, that help us with everyday problems. Some simple machines are gigantic yet others are small. Some simple machines are in other complicated machines and some simple machines are used in other simple machines. The six simple machines are the pulley, the lever, the wedge, the inclined plane, the wheel and axle. But in our project we are only using two simple machines the pulley, and the inclined plane. We are a team of two english-speaking grade five students working on a simple machines project. Our subject area is Physics and our project type is experimental. Our question is "Can a simple machine turn off an alarm clock?" Our hypothesis is " We believe that our simple machine will work as long as the pulley and the inclined plane are perfectly set up." Before we started building our simple machine we didn't know we needed a pulley. We have learned many things about simple machines by working on this project.
Question: "Can a simple machine turn off an alarm clock?"
Hypothises: "Our simple machine will be able to turn off the alarm clock as long as the pulley and the inclined plane are perfectly set up."
