An Electric Bike is a normal bicycle with extra parts that helps you pedal. Some of
the extra parts are: Motor, Throttle control, Batteries and Speed Controller.
These four parts work together to turn the wheels with less effort.
The Motor

The electric motor is a machine that takes electrical energy and changes it to
mechanical energy in the form of a spinning shaft. That spinning shaft is connected
to the axle of the bicycle and spins the wheel.
The Battery

The battery stores electrical energy and when we need it to turn the wheel
the battery releases the energy and sends the energy to the motor. The battery
can be charged with a normal house electrical plug-in. To be more enviromentally
friendly, the battery can be charged with solar panels that generate electricity
without causing pollution.
The Throttle Control

The throttle control is the thing that allows me to control how fast the motor
should spin and how fast the bike will travel. To make the bike go faster, you
twist the handle to make the bike go faster. Let the handle go and the bike will
slow down.
The Speed Controller
The speed controller is the electronics that takes the commands from the throttle
control, receives the energy from the battery and sends the electrical energy to
the motor. The amount of energy sent depends on how much the throttle is twisted.
