Method

1. Heat one cup of water on the stove. Place the thermometer in the heated water, and turn off the stove once the water reaches 80 F.
2. As the water is heating up, stretch out your balloon, blow it up, and let the air out. Do this several times. This will make it easier for the air to push the walls of the balloon.
3. Quickly put one pack of the yeast and 2 tablespoons of sugar in the measuring cup, pour in one cup of the warm water, and let the sugar and yeast dissolve.
4. Pour the dissolved mixture into the empty bottle, and quickly attach the balloon to the bottles mouth.
5. Wait 30 min and measure the circumference of the balloon with the cloth tape measure. Record the measurement.
6. Wait another 30 min, and measure again to see if the yeast is still at work. Record the measurement.
7. Empty and clean the bottle and repeat steps 1 to 6 but with this temperatures 90 f,100 f ,110 f,120 f, 130 f ,and 140 f.
