The easiest monkey to observe and one
who has the least fear of people is
Granda. She spends most of her day
basking in the sun on the ground with Elder. She will also spend time pulling
out roots and grabbing leaves and stems which she gathers in a small pile and
mixes them together, but when she is not doing that she will get a little
exercise and swing back and forth on the same branch not going anywhere
switching between using her tail and her arm. Granda is also very interested in
trash that is in her cage and sometimes will actually get a meal out of some
trash. Once there was a small juice
can in her cage and Granda liked as far as her tongue could reach, then ripped
it in half and licked as far as her tongue could reach from there. She repeated this process until the can was
clean.
