Gender – Male
The only male and possibly the
shyest (of people) is Elder. Elder is very small and going bald in several places. He usually is not very active and prefers to lie on the ground out in
the sun, with Granda, but as soon as people
come, Elder usually swings back
to the back side of his cage. Elder is very sociable with the monkeys and is the only monkey ever to
groom another monkey, however he
very rarely grooms another monkey, but he is constantly grooming himself with
his tail and arms. Elder is terrified of the coatis, and will usually give up his banana to the coatis, but on one occasion he hid his banana from the coatis up in a tree and
waited for the coatis to leave before
reclaiming his prize.
