The recipe used

 

Mix

1 cup of all-purpose flour

¼ cup of whole wheat flour

¼ cup of sugar

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

 

Melt 3 tbsp of butter.

When melted, add 1 egg and stir.

Add to dry ingredients, but DO NOT STIR YET!!

Add 1 ¼ cup of milk, and THEN you can stir, but not too much, or the pancakes will be chewy. If you want to add food coloring, do it now.

 

Heat a frying pan on medium heat with a bit of butter. When the butter is melted, add a few ladlefuls of batter. You can probably fit three or four pancakes in the pan. If you want, you can sprinkle berries or chocolate chips on top. Wait a minute or so, and check under the pancakes with a spatula. If it is golden-brown, flip them. If not, wait a bit longer, and check again. Repeat until the batter is all gone. Enjoy!
