Introduction
Participants-Seven Grade One and Seventeen Grade Two Students
Descriptive Project: During April 2008 the grade one and two students researched the origins of modern technology. They described a variety of inventions that everyone uses daily. The teacher librarian helped students access the Internet and find online articles. Students brought articles from home that they had found with the help of their parents. At school in small groups the students made jot notes, completed an information web web, wrote draft reports and final copies. A survey was conducted to see how many families used technological inventions. Students made a timeline to trace the origins of each invention. Cailey learned how to make a sun clock and helped the others students make one.
