Conclusion

•Using the RNAi technique we were able to create plants with desired characteristics.

 

•The transgenic plant lines were predominantly effective in knocking out the EDS1 gene and the plants became susceptible to A. candida.

 

•RNAi was effective in inhibiting petal formation in the Arabidopsis plants.

 

•RNAi affects plant gene expression and plant characteristics and is a useful method to modify a candidate gene.
