Sources of Error Possible errors in this project could be that the correct amount of a sample was not gathered (since I was dealing with substances as small as a few μL and μg). As well, the sizes of the bacterial inhibition zones were often very similar, and there might have been a measurement error. Finally, the results in the Ames Test are considered the most meaningful when the colony numbers fall between 30 and 300 but mine fell between 50 and 700. |
