Conclusions 1.
The White Spruce bark extract had the greatest total polyphenol amounts
and antioxidating activity. 2.
All the bark extracts except Jack Pine had strong bacterial growth
inhibition. 3.
The extracts showed signs of antimutagenesis. 4.
Heating during the extraction process helped to extract more polyphenols,
and thus the extract had a higher antioxidating activity. |
