Bacterial Susceptibility Tests

(See Reference 2 for details)

1.      Spread 200µL of overnight grown bacterial culture evenly on LB Agar plates.

2.      Wells (6mm diameter) are made in the agar.

3.      50µL of the extracts are pipetted into wells.

4.      Plates are incubated overnight at 37ºC.

LB Agar Plate   

       1     L       water (H2O)

       10   g       tryptone  

       5     g       yeast extract 

       10   g       NaCl 

       mix, 

       add 15 g of Agar, 

       autoclave for 30 minutes, 

       pour into 100x15 mm petri dish
