The Environment

Plastic is going green:
Because cellulose acetate is made from renewable, natural resources, it is completely biodegradable and does not release toxins into the environment when it degrades. Current plastics on the market are made from by products of oil refinery process and are unable to biodegrade. Even starch composites that claim to be biodegrade simply disintegrate and are unable to undergo full mineralization.

A wide variety of electronic devices and office supplies are made from plastic.
