  The blue poison arrow frog

This is a poison arrow frog it is deadly and it's also endangered which means that there aren't many of them left in the world.

Scientists believe that 50% of the plants and animals in the world come from the rainforests. You may wonder why there are so many plants and animals in the rainforest instead of another part of the world. It's because around 100 million years ago, there was an ice age. It spread throughout the world except a couple parts of the rainforest, so the plants and animals there could continue to evolve.
