The ratios of Lego
In Lego Robotics, there is a lot of math used, math is mainly used when it comes to ratios. In Lego Robotics, there is many different ratios, but the ratios I'm going to tell you about are the gear ratios and the normal cube ratios.
The ratio of a normal cube of Lego is 6:5, so that means that 9.6mm is equal to 6 and that also means that 8.0mm is equal to 5.

Then the ratio for gears is 3:1 so that means that say we took an 8 tooth gear and a 24 tooth gear. For each 3 times that the 8 tooth gear turns the 24 tooth gear only turns once.

I think that is probably one of the most interesting facts about Lego Robotics. And like my most superb and awesome teacher, Mr. D, says: "math is everywhere!", so learn to use it.
