A picture of me.

Hello, my name is Ebola. I am a deadly and extremely contagious virus. I make people puke out their intestines and have severe internal and external bleeding, yes I know, it’s gross but, hey, that’s what I am good at. I’m a common group of virus of the genus Ebolavirus, from the family called Filoviridae. My virus causes a fever, then it can cause up to as many symptoms as vomiting, diarrhea, changes in skin colour and general body pain.

Normally when people catch on to my virus they have a high rate of dying, but the actual mortality rate ranges between 50% and 100%.  The main reason for this is because in third world countries (mainly where my disease ends up) they don’t have high quality or sanitary hospitals, also because no one across the world has come up with a cure for me.

I am named after the Ebola River in the African Nationstate of Congo (formally Zaïre) which is near the site of the first outbreak. Because I don’t have an approved vaccination, I am proudly classified “Biosafety” level 4 agent and category A bioterrorism. Either you research me or you have me you’re guaranteed to puke.
