1)     First we gathered all the materials needed to do this experiment.

2)      Next we found a flat clear surface that we could use for a weeks time.

3)      Then we labelled the cups to what substance is inside of each of them.

4)      Then we poured the correct substance into its labelled cup. 100ml of each substance was poured into the correct cup with the measuring cup.

5)     Next we cut up the paper towel into equal pieces.

6)     Then we dipped each paper towel into a different substance until they were wet.

7)     Then we wrapped a different nail into each different wet paper towel.

8)     After that we set the right paper towel beside the right cup.

9)     Then we left the nails to sit in the paper towels for 24 hours.

10) The next day we did the same thing to the same nail at the exact same time.

11) We did this for one entire week.

12) We took pictures and had our results.
