Method 1
I am proposing two methods that can be used to extract Bitumen and oil from oil sands. The first method that I proposed is that we could attach magnetrons on the pipe which is used to inject steam. But I have also modified that and instead of injecting steam, I have proposed to inject water. It will turn the water into steam and send it to the steam chamber, from there to the oil sand bed where it will continue its routine as it does in SAGD, which is to melt the oil molecules from the sand grains so that it can be sucked through the oil flow pipe into the refinery.
A magnetron is basically what warms up our food in microwaves. I could not experiment this method because of safety reasons, because of electromagnetic radiation. But, I am sure- 100 ft under the ground, it won’t have an effect on humans.
