The number of drops of juice you can put in before the blue starts disappearing the less vitamin C the juice contains.
Papaya – 20 drops Orange – 29 drops Lemon – 45 drops Grapefruit – 77 drops Lime – 126 drops
We
were surprised that Papaya came first in our experiment. But one thing
we realized is that after we cut the fruits we left them lying out waiting to
be tested, and as we kept on experimented the fruit juice needed more and
more drops of iodine to make the blue disappear. So the thing we
discovered is that if you leave a fruit with Vitamin C just lying out in the
open it loses some of its Vitamin C. |
