Our question:

We wanted to find out which parts of our tongue tasted which foods and how we use our tongue to taste our favourite foods. (See Home Page.)

 Our hypothesis:

We thought that our right side of our tongue would taste the most food  because we also found out that the right side of our tongue tastes the most food.

The four foods:

salty sugar

sour

bitter

Experiment:

  1.  We first put each of the 4 foods into separate bowls.

  2. Then we dipped a chopstick in one of the 4 foods, then pocked it on the 4 parts of your tongue.( tip, back, right side, left side.)

  3. We decided which part of our tongue tasted the food the strongest. Then we placed them in order from 1 (for strongest) to 5. (for weakest flavour.)

  4. We continued the experiment with the other 4 foods.

  5. Then we repeated the experiment 3 more times.
