How It Works

Our dam operates by a fish pump pumping water through a clear plastic tube to the top of the penstock. The water then continues to flow through the tube down the penstock. When the water reaches the end of the tube it drains out and hits the propeller blades forcing the propeller to turn continuously. Then once the water has hit the propeller it continues this cycle. The generator that is attached to the propeller generates power that is transported by wires up through the power poles to the volt meter.
