Have you ever watched a goalie make that "big save", and wonder how it was ever possible? Although the art of goaltending takes much skill, "flashing the leather" also involves the wonderful science of physics. Every movement, save, and equipment design involves physics, whether it be friction, or simple angles.

This experiment will investigate a couple different aspects of the goaltending game, and tie the art of the sport, and science of the sport together. Never again will you watch an NHL goalie without considering the physics behind their techniques, style, and overall gameplay.

**** IMPORTANT NOTICE:

ALL EXPERIMENTAL PHOTOS HAVE BEEN TAKEN BY BRAD NEWEDUK, AND THE GOALTENDER IS CODY CLIFFORD (MYSELF).
