Jar w/o salt – Egg sinks

Jar with 3 tbsp of salt – Egg hovers

Jar with 8 tbsp of salt – Egg floats

Jar with 3 tbsp of salt – Egg floats a lot

 

Conclusion

 

So we were right, the more salt in the water the more buoyant the object is. And also, the water weighs more when there is salt in it!?

 

One egg – 60g

2 cups of fresh water – 420g

2 cups of water with 3 tbsp of salt – 480g

2 cups of water with 8 tbsp of salt – 580g

2 cups of water with 16 tbsp of salt – 740g
