How far will you go?

 

    A small part of everyone wants to be perfect, but how far will some people go? They want to be the size of a Barbie practically.

    We all played with Barbie's... right? A lot of us just bit they're heads off 'cause big sister says Barbie is a menace to society. But a lot of people want to be Barbie, that's the problem. Barbie's used to all innocent, but they were still skinny. But now they're becoming skanky too! They have new teen Barbie's (Bratz®) and they have skirts up to the top of their thighs! That's a different problem, but it still makes kids want to fit into the skirts they wear.

    You know how a lot of people look up to the Olsen twins? Well, let me tell you, that in my parents time, the people weren't skin and bones. Everyone loved a girl name Marilyn Monroe. You've heard of her... haven't you? She's the curvy one./ Everyone wanted to be like her. They loved her. They wanted to be as curvy as Marilyn Monroe. She even started a new fad about it!

See how abnormal it is to try and be like Barbie? Pretty much an impossible goal.

    But when did the Marilyn Monroe fad die? Many say it was when Twiggy came along.

Twiggy Lawson was born in north London on September 19th, 1949. She was named "The Face of '66" by the Daily Express. In the mid 60's at 16 years, Twiggy became world wide as the world's first supermodel. Her Career exploded, as she was the youngest supermodel in the world.

   

      You may be wondering, what IS the Marilyn Monroe fad? Well, it is when you have big breasts, small waist, and a big old booty. Well, when twiggy came along, she was skin and bones. She was like the Kate Moss of her time.

If you ask me, I think Marilyn Monroe is gorgeous. I think she might actually be my idol! But, why don't we ever hear of her anymore? Well, August 5, 1962, 36-year-old Marilyn Monroe was found in her bed dead. Many think she was killed, many think she committed suicide. We'll never know the truth, but personally, I think she was murdered.
