Hi, and Welcome to my 2005 Virtual Science Fair Website.

My name is David Wang and my webpage is on the creation of a plant-based, cost-effective, orally -administered, safe vaccine that can be used to prevent SARS infection.

Science has always facinated me; I started working on science projects, including virtual science fair in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and now I'm continuing my scientific journey in London, Ontario.

I have been interested in the SARS epidemic ever since I first heard about it on TV and on the radio. It gave me a very lasting impression on diseases and infections.

However, it wasn't until last year that I began doing some very extensive research on my own. I found out that there has not been any drugs or treatments for SARS infection.

Thus, I was determined, with the mentorship of a biology professor, to try my own hand at this unsolved task.

This project has given me an extreme amount of learning experieence. I have learned many techniques and skills that will last with me throughout my lifetime.
