Abstract

The goal of this project was to answer the three questions asked in the Smarties song: "Do you suck them very slowly?" "Do you crunch them very fast?" and, "Do you eat the red ones last?" by testing 12 people of different ages. The procedure was to put a controlled amount of Smarties in a bowl, and observe each person as they ate them. I wanted to know if people were affected by the advertisements and commercials of Smarties.

The results in this project were very close, but proved that most people don't eat their red Smarties last, and that most people crunch their Smarties very fast instead of sucking them very slowly or eating them all at once. My hypothesis was proved right. More people crunch their Smarties rather than suck them or eat them all at once, and there were more poeple who didn't eat their red Smarties last.
