Insulin

Insulin is one of the most important things when you have diabetes. You have to take insulin 2-6 times a day (depending on your blood sugars). Insulin is very critical you CAN NOT give too much or you can die! You have to be very precise. The amount of insulin is totally based on your blood sugar for instance, if your blood sugar is to high you would have to give more insulin than usual and if its to low you would have to give less insulin than usual. There are two ways to give insulin, you can inject it with a syringe or you can swallow it in a pill. If you choose to inject insulin there are three places where you can put it, your arm, your leg, and even your stomach. There is even a insulin pump, it looks like a pager, its attached to a tube that is inserted into your body. When you press a certain button it delivers just the right amount of insulin.
