Procedure

 

Title: What's in a brain?

Objective: To discover if age determines the ability to do riddles quickly.

Hypothesis: I think that age will not determine the ability to do riddles quickly because I think you are just good at riddles or not.

Materials:

-5 13-14 year olds

-5 10-11 year olds

-5 40-45 year olds

-Paper

-Pencil

-Computer

-Timer

-Riddles

 

Variable(s):

Independent: Age of individual

Dependent: Time it takes to answer riddle.

Controle: riddle

 

Procedure List:

-Pick two riddles

-Choose 15 test subjects, all female, each sub group of similar background.

-Give each test subject the two riddles in the same order as the other test subjects.

-Give the test subjects the riddle separatly, start the timer the second you give them the riddle.

-When the test subject gives an answer stop the timer.
