There are
about 270 different species of sharks split up in 30
“families” they are classified in they’re appearance,
size, weight, diet, habitat ect… that makes them different from
others.
Sharks
are part of a group called Elasmobranchii that have
no bones and ONLY cartilage, a strong substance that’s softer
than bone (if you still don’t know what it is example the soft
stuff that’s really chewy when you have steak or chicken).
Sharks have existed for over 350 million years. They
evolved over 100 millions years BEFORE the dinosaurs did.
