As we lit the rags on fire we took down notes of what was happening. At the end we realized that the normal rag had gone on fire faster than most of the other rags with softeners on them. With this information we concluded that our hypothesis was mostly wrong because three out of the four rags with softener lit slower than the rag with nothing on it. Our hypothesis was that rags with fabric softeners on them would ignite faster than rags without softeners. There was one rag with Bounty on it that lit extremely fast. This means you should not buy this fabric softener because of its flammability. The Fabric softener you should buy is Downey. It is the safest by far.

Some things that we still not know are involving the type of other fabric softeners. We do not know how flammable the other type of fabric softeners are because we did not test them. Another argument/hypothesis that could be brought up in this project if someone else were to do it is that, do the liquid softeners or the sheet softeners light quicker. You could buy Bounce sheets and Bounce liquid. A suggestion we have is to make sure when putting the rag to the flame is that, make sure the different rags are on the same spot of the flame when being lit at different times.
