Question
Can
a bag of aquarium gravel representing a supermarine landslide, when released
down an inclined slope into a tank of water, generate a wave that will simulate
a tsunami?
Purpose
To determine if a bag of aquarium gravel of a certain
weight (representing a supermarine landslide), when released down an inclined
slope into a tank containing water can generate a wave simulating a tsunami.
Hypothesis
I think that when the bag of aquarium gravel is released down the inclined slope into the tank containing water, a wave will be generated. I also think that the wave will be clearer and will travel slower in shallower water.
