Project Abstract

The purpose of my project is to see if you can collect carbon dioxide from soda pop(Pepsi), yeast mixed with sugar and water, and a chemical reaction, which is made from baking soda and vinegar.
My hypothesis is, you can collect carbon dioxide from Pepsi, yeast mixed with sugar and a chemical reaction.
I used plastic tubing to collect the carbon dioxide with and plastic clay to stop air from coming out of the soda. I placed the bottle in a hot bowl of water and put a jar in a bin of regular tap water and put the tubingin the jar so the gas flows in. I did this with the other two experiments in a plastic water bottle.
It turns out that you can collect a jar of carbon dioxide from the yeast and sugar, but you can collect a jar from the Pepsi and the chemical reaction.
