BSE is not a virus, bacteria or microorganism it is just that the brain somehow gets altered and
becomes abnormal, meat products in feed can cause this or a Mutant protein that is able to infect
cells called a prion. This prion affects the brain which causes the symptoms the the cattle will
have.
