Our experiment involves plants, house hold cleaners, and their effects. We will use Murphy’s household cleaner, Bright n’ easy household cleaner, Mr. Clean household cleaner, Pine-Sol household cleaner, Fantastik all-purpose cleaner, Hertel all-purpose cleaner, and water on each plant. We will mix one table spoon of each substance into the water of one of seven different plants, daily, one for each cleaner, and we will see what effect they have. Each week we will look at the effects that the household cleaner has. We will do this for twelve weeks and note the effects. Our hypothesis is that every household cleaner will kill the plants. The purpose of this experiment is to discover which household cleaners are truly toxic, and what level of damage they do to a living organism. The independent variable is the type of plant we’re using which is a fichus, the dependant variable is what cleaner we’re using.
