Take a piece of Styrofoam and cut an aerofoil shape that is exactly 1.5 cm in camber and 15 cm long
Cut another aerofoil shape that is almost the same as the previous except that the camber is .5 cm deeper
Repeat steps 1 and 2 until you have 6 aerofoil shapes
Make a frame to balance the wing, and spring
Build wind tunnel
Put coins on the wings as weights
Screw in an eye to the top of each wing, so that they hang at 11°
Attach the spring balance to one frame, and a hook for a wing on the other
Attach toothpick to bottom of spring, to line up with the ruler’s markings
Calibrate spring with weights
Place fan in the end of the tunnel with diffuser infront
Attach first wing to the spring
Test wind flow using wool strips
Note the position of the toothpick
Turn on the fan
Note the highest position of the toothpick
Repeat steps 1-3 until you have done it three times for each wing
Move the eye in each wing slightly forward, so that the wings all hang at 22°
Repeat step 4
Repeat step 5, but put the eyes so the wings hang at 31°
Repeat step 4
