Reverse Osmosis:
Reverse Osmosis is a process used for removing dissolved solids and some other impurities by forcing the water through a semi-permeable membrane, a barrier that only lets the slovent through and not the solute. Usually, reverse osmosis is used to desalinate, take the salt out of, sea water.
Ultra Violet Purifier:
Ultra Violet, or UV for short, systems are not able to sterilaize by themselves because they don't work on cloudy water. They can only work if the cloudy water goes through a filter first.
A quartz protector surrounds the UV lamp because if it was surrounded by glass, most of the UV rays would be blocked.
Distillation:
The water vapour you get when water boils is condensed when it hits the cool clear glass/plastic. It slides down the plastic/glass and is collected in the other container.
Filtering:
Whenever you pour the liquid through the filter, most of the large places of the impurities are caught in the filter.
