MAX'S INFO
Welcome to my side of the project, here you will be notified
and educated on the first human to ever travel into the depths of space, how
astronauts survive on space stations such as the I.S.S. (the International Space
Station) and Mir, the Russian space station. Read more to find out...
Our first subject in this area will have to be...
THE FIRST HUMAN BEING TO ENTER THE DEEP VOID OF SPACE!

This man's name is Yuri Gagarin. This man went into the
depths of space and traveled around the world as the first objective of space
travel done by a human being. When the Russians finished this objective, the Americans
succeeded in doing the same adventure two weeks following the Russian's successful
attempt. Gagarin was born near Moscow, Russia on March 9, 1934 and died on March
27, 1968. Yuri joined the Soviet Air Force in 1955 and in 1959 he was training
to become a cosmonaut. Did you know that when Yuri Gagarin took off in the
Vostok 1, he was an Air Force Lieutenant, and when he landed from his mission,
he was a major?! We have finished in that area of space travel. Thank you and
now let me introduce you to our second field in the space matter...
THE INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION! A.K.K. the I.S.S.

As most of you know, the I.S.S. is a space station is in
space right as you are reading this and is orbiting around the planet Earth of
up to 27, 685.7 km. an hour and 7.69 km/s , considering that the fastest land
animal can only go up to 45km.p.h. on average, I'm talking about the
cheetah, we are talking some serious heat going on with that station. The size
of this machine is enormous, it's the biggest station to ever be in space when
it will be finished, for now. As a result, it's storage space can easily hold up
to four Boeing 747, no more no less! Think how cool the views are from up there?
And think how cool of a game you could have of tag of hide and seek? If I could
have anything for my birthday it would definitely be a week in the I.S.S. ahmmm,
um sorry about that, I just get sentimental sometimes about things that don't
matter because it would never happen anyways. Back to the subject. As of
November 15, 2004, the I.S.S. has been occupied up to the total of 1, 474 days
in space. The inclination of the I.S.S. is 51.63 degrees and the average temp.
is around 26.4 degrees calcius.
Building the I.S.S. will require 50 assembly and utilization
flights and will be helped into construction by more than 5 different countries,
even though it is meant to be in orbit for only another 8 years!!! But with all
the different countries working and helping each other, why are there still wars
going on? Now please welcome.... (drum roll please)
THE MIR SPACE STATION!!!

This space station is just like the I.S.S. except it is
smaller, different name and it is from the Russians, not the Americans. So never
mind that theory and just read on about the Mir.
This space station is just like the I.S.S. in some specific
relations, it can reach up to the same speeds of around 28, 000 km.p.h. This
space stations has already been built and was supposed to be deported and
abandonned because it was said that it was going to "die" after 14
years in spacebut results were in and the it was left alone, but even though it
survived this time, it will, no matter what, be deported in around 5-15 years.
Now you have had a briefing about the Mir, hope you have enjoyed this and please
welcome our fourth and final guest......
HOW ASTRONAUTS, COSMONAUTS, ETC. LIVE IN SPACE!!!
Well first of all we'll start with the food that the crew eat
on the station, in the food groups it's not exactly like your normal food groups
like fruit, vegetables, meat, milk and such. But more like...
Air tight
Low heat
Liquid only
High Heat
But all these have your normal food groups in them also, like
air tight meat in a sack or liquid only apple juice, etc. etc.
Now we'll gallop like a horse and make haste gallop like a
horse over to how they sleep and amuse themselves. For the most part, they will
be working out because in space you get a lot more "out of shape" then
when you're on space. But apart from the exercising part, they might amuse
themselves with board games or play cards together like Poker and Black Jack.
But one of the most fascinating things to do on any of the space stations and
most easily to do forever would be just to look out on to the beautiful bird's
eye view of what we call "home." With all the drastically changing
views of the earth 24/7/365, that would be the highlight of every astronaut's
day. Now their sleeping arrangements.
Every astronaut, cosmonaut, etc. on the space ship or space
shuttle will be equipped with their own sleeping arrangement and their things
that they bring to bed as they would on earth. The crew is allowed to wear
headphones for the noise could be hard to fall asleep to. When they go to bed
they are belted down at the legs, the waist and the chest so they don't
"sleep floating" instead of sleep walking.
Now personal hygiene.
The way that the crew goes to the bathroom is quite
like that on earth. The toilet seat is just like that on earth, except you have
to get belted down when you take a #2. When you have to take a #1, you get a
kind of hose.... anyways I think you know where I'm going.
Showers are exactly the same as on earth but when you are
finished, the get a vacuum type thing and vacuum the water off of yourself
because there isn't gravity to let the water dry of of yourself.
That's about all you need to know to survive up there in the
big deep void. Thanks very much and enjoy the quiz that is extraordinarily easy
to get good results. Thanks again.
