The goal of this experiment was to find the Optimal Thinking Environment. Through the data collected during the experiment, we have concluded that the hypothesis is correct. The data we have found clearly confirms the hypothesis.
Our findings reveal that hot conditions may help the logical side of your brain (the left side) to think faster. All times taken in hot conditions were extremely fast.
Participant 1 (Tchadas) did best with rock music and cold conditions. This may be because of the fact that the fast pace of the rock music coupled with the urge to finish the testing and get out of the cold conditions helped his pace. He did not do as well in cold conditions without the fast paced music. He did well in hot, however.
Participant 2 (Ryan) does not like the cold, and therefore did terrible during cold conditions. He did very well with classical, rock, and especially no music when combined with hot conditions.
We can now conclude that hot conditions and classical music form the Optimal Thinking Environment. A follow up experiment should contain more different conditions, and more different types of music. Possible sources of error could be fixed with a better evaluation and control of the variables, and a better way to read the brain's reaction.
