Conclusions
My hypothesis was correct, the balloon with
hot air went higher than the balloon with
cold air. Warm air rises because it is less
dense than cool air. When air is heated and
expands, it becomes less dense. In hot air
balloons, molecules are further apart in the
heated air inside theballoon than in the
cooler air outside the balloon, so the air
inside is less dense.
