Volcanic Lakes
Volcanic lakes are formed when the magma in the chimney and on the crater harden and close off the chimney.
Water from rain falls fill up the gap at the top of the volcano creating a volcanic lake.
Acid Lakes are created when gas comes out of the of the bottom of the volcano. It dissolves in the water killing any organisms so no life. Usually the water is warm from the magma underneath so people go swimming in the warm waters. The water is used sometimes in industries too heat houses from the heat coming through the mountain. The water is filled with lots of minerals such as sulphur the riche water nourishes the earth.
