In our experiment we tested to see what type of metal producesthe     most electricity. We tested soda cans, copper wire, and soup cans. We placed the metal pieces 7 cm. apart and counted how many times the opener on a pop can went back and fourth between the two pieces of metal in 15 seconds. We concluded that the soda cans would produce the most electricity, but we were wrong. The soup cans produced the most electricity. The metal piece between the soup cans went back and fourth 39 times, it went back and fourth 30 times with soda cans, and with the copper wire it went back and fourth 25 times. We tried a smaller 14’’ T.V, but it didn’t produce enough static electricity to be transferred through the aluminum foil and through the battery cables and into the metal pieces. Then we tried a 27’’ T.V. and it worked because it could produce more static electricity than the 14’’ T.V. We are sure that it has to be 27’’ T.V or bigger because it did not work on a 26’’ T.V.
