Animals

Color blindness started when monkeys were evolving into the first humans. Those monkeys had twice as many green cones than red cones, and that was the first kind of color blindness. It all started with monkeys!

Question Today, are humans the only species that can be color blind?

Answer   No, dogs and horses and some other animals are also color blind.

All horses are color blind, which is weird, because they are the mammal with the largest eyes!

The vision of a dog is similar to the vision of a human who is red green color blind. Cats see the colors blue and yellow very well  but white turns out gray, and red turns out a lot darker than it really is, and rich colors look like pastel to cats.

Also, people see more precisely than most animals.
