

It's is very important to a veterinarian that you can take your cat to, for routine health care and in case of an emergency. It is not very comfortable to take your cat to someone that you don't know in an emergency situation.
When choosing a veterinarian (vet), make sure you find one you can talk to easily, and that your cat feels comfortable with. Make sure (s)he has a lot of experience looking after cats. Some vets look after cats exclusively. Unless your cat is sick you will probably only need to take it to the vet once a year for immunizations.
