A Summary
of my project
My
science project is about RADAR SAT a satellite that fly’s around the world
taiking pictures of the earth to se if everything is alright. RADAR SAT can
see lots of thing that you can’t see from a plane for example a hole in the
ozone natural disasters and more!

facts
The
control system for RADAR SAT is at Ste. Hubert, Montreal. The images are
developed by the system of communication.
Clients
can bye images from the companies or RADAR SAT. Examples or clients are Canadian
ice serves or national defense department.
RADAR
SAT is stuck up in space because of low gravity and momentum. There is just
enough gravity to hold it in and not so much that it falls, but place SAT is
always falling but because of low gravity only a bit, maybe a meter a month so
RADAR SAT has its own system of population for putting it back to its right
altitude.

SAT also has two enormous solar panels that are 1.5m of width and 15m of
length.

SAT was launched by a rocket in California 1995 the rocket was maid by bowing
who makes plains.
What
does RADAR SAT do
RADAR
SAT is like a surveillance camera it can se everything from a high place. RADAR
SAT is really important for watching natural disasters like tsunamies,
earthquakes, ice bergs or holes in the ozone. RADAR SAT can also se events made
by humans like floods, fires or gas spills in the ocean.
If a boat is lost in the ocean or is fishing in a illegal place or a
illegal amount of time RADAR SAT will se them and then they will be sued.
RADAR
SAT can also watch forest cutters and see boat roots so they can make maps so
that they wont hit any ice bergs and then they will sell it to the national ice
department. One of the coolest things about RADAR SAT is that it can watch rise
fields in Asia. The rise grows in the water so the farmers can se if they have a
big bunch or not RADAR SAT can’t see thought the water so when it throes the
radar waves the picture bounces of and they can se how high it is out of the
water.

RADAR
SAT is an active instrument that fly’s around the earth in 100 minuets but only 28 of those minutes are
developed. RADAR SAT is always
800km from the earth, it can see 5km at a time to see big objects or 3km for the
small. RADAR SAT took 10 years to make it was made to last 5 yeas but so far it
has been 9 years after the launch.

SAT 2
Now
the RADAR SAT teem has constructed
a new satellite that is called
RADAR SAT 2 it is almost the same thing except it is equipped with some new and
upgraded stuff. RADAR SAT 2
has a new system of G.P.S. and a system of command so now they can tell
the exact high at all times. RADAR SAT is supposed to be launched summer 2005.
Conclusion
With
out RADAR SAT would the world be the same?
With out RADAR SAT how would we know if There was a hole in the ozone or
if There was a boat lost in the ocean? RADAR
SAT gives us a lot of information that we wouldn’t normally know. After reding
my research project on RADAR SAT I hope you are more interested in satellite and
that you take the time to de a research yourself.
