There are a few companies who have made amphibious cars over the years , one of the newest attempts was made by Gibbs Technologies. Their 2 main cars are the Gibbs Aquada which has recently set a new speed record for a crossing of the English channel in an amphibious vehicle. The Aquada can go up to 160km on land and 50km in the water, to buy the Aquada it will cost you approximately $ 235 000 , it seats 3. The Humdinga is Gibbs's latest amphibious car which is not yet available to buy, it seats 5 and has a maximum of 100mph on land and in water it can go up to 40mph.

The Watercar is the fastest amphibious car in the world , it was made by Dave March and his 2 sons. The Watercar can go up to 125mph on land and 45mph in water, it has a capacity of 4 . To buy one of these quality automobiles it will cost you $ 150 000.
