EXPERIMENT                     

Objective:

To find out which blood types mix together and which do not.

 

Materiels:

6 plastic vials, vinegar, water,  acrylic floor polish, mixing bowl, spoon to mix with, red food dye, surgical gloves, labels and pipettes.

 

Hypothesis:

I think type A and type B will be the only types not to mix together

 

Prossecus:

1. Make sure your surgical gloves are on. The ingredients sometimes are hard to wash off.

2. Label the vials A, B, O, AB, AO and BO

3.  Mix water, acrylic floor polish and red food dye together. Poor this mixture into the vial labeled A.

4. Mix water, vinegar and red food dye together. Poor this mixture into the vial labeled B.

5. Mix water and red food dye together. Poor this mixture into the vial labeled O.

6. Mix type A blood and type O blood in the vial labeled AO. Do they mix together?

7. Mix type B blood and type O blood in the vial labeled BO. Do they mix together?

8. Mix type A blood and type B blood in the vial labeled AB. Do they mix together?

 

Results:

Type A blood and type O blood did mix together. So did B and O but A and B created a coagulation in the vial.
