What is corrosion?

Corrosion is one of the problems caused by acid rain.  Some of the first signs of corrosion are:

• paint pealing off

• corners which where once were sharp, become rounded.  

Acid rain is like sand paper.  It wears away from the outside, inward.  The few differences, compared to sandpaper, are that acid rain uses a chemical reaction and it takes a lot longer.
