My experiment

After doing a bit of research on acid rain I figured out that I wanted to see corrosion happen myself.  I decided that I would do my experiment on corrosion. So, I took two pieces of limestone and scratched an image of a stick man on to each one.  Then, I put one in vinegar which  - like acid rain -  is acidic.  I put the other piece in water. I let them sit there for two hours.  I hope that after two hours I will be able to see the difference in the  corrosion effects between acid liquids and natural water.

After two hours of observing the lime stones, one in water and the other in vinegar,  the one in water had hardly corroded at all.  The one in vinegar became rough and you could hardly see the stick figure any more. I also noticed that the vinegar when we started had a Ph of about 3 and after two hours with the lime stone in it it became less acidic and had a Ph of 4 or 5.
