Abstract

The main idea of this project was to see how rodents are affected by colors. We bought the hamster, made and painted the mazes, and finally, ran the hamster through the mazes. The hamster was not affected. The hamster often stopped to clean itself, so that wasted lots of time. In the beginning we both suspected that the hamster would move faster in the green maze because it was calmer and lighter as the human brain works better with calmer, lighter colors. The hamster's results were totally random but it did seem like it went faster in the green maze. Further testing is required.
